Our heritage
Between 2015 and 2018, Marsh McLennan purchased both Jelf and Bluefin, and merged the businesses to form one of the biggest insurance brokers in the UK, under a new Jelf brand. This step combined the rich heritage of these two leading community brokers under a single name.
In 2020, Jelf became Marsh Commercial, aligning the business closer to our parent company as we evolve to excellence.

We leverage the scale, expertise and access to the broad range of products and services provided by MMC for the benefit of our clients - whilst retaining the flair, flexibility and personal service that our clients have come to expect. We serve our clients through a streamlined structure across three regions: The North of England, the South of England and Wales, and Scotland and Northern Ireland.
