On 2 December, our Marsh Commercial colleagues in Cardiff worked together to support their community by collecting donations for their local food bank.
Led by Senior Client Services Co-ordinator Julie O’Brien and Account Executive Joe Catris, the whole team collected a staggering 147kg of donations, which will provide 21 people in crisis with a minimum of three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable tinned and dried foods.
Donations included:
- Crisps and savoury snacks
- Tinned rice pudding
- Sweet treats
- Long life fruit juice
- Sponge puddings
- Tinned custard
- Toiletries
This year, more than ever, food banks are crucial to support our local communities to provide much needed food and provisions for families and individuals.
You can donate directly to your local food bank.
There are more than 2,000 food banks in the UK. You can find your local food bank on the Trussell Trust website, which gives you the option to search your postcode.
You can donate to collection points in supermarkets across the country.
Look out for the basket or trolley in your local supermarket where you can donate food.
