People Management Seminar, London (30 November 2018)

Recent reports have shown that there's been an increase in the number of equal pay claims against employers, particularly since companies had to release their gender pay gap reports. So is this an opportunity for greater transparency in the world of employment and working practices, and how should employers react at this critical time?

To help answer this question we're delighted to announce Jelf's latest fun and informative event in London. Our excellent speakers and subject matter include:

  • A look at Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace with Josh Willacy
  • An update on all the key Employment Law changes from Matt Jenkin
  • A review of the complex and changing world of Employee Benefits with Jon Wood

This is sure to be an important, necessary and enlightening session for all. And of course we have another excellent venue for our delegates to enjoy! This time we’re at Drapers Hall in London.

Located in the heart of the City of London, Drapers’ Hall boasts magnificent interiors including royal portraits and King Louis XV Gobelin tapestries. Steeped in history, the Hall is also recognisable from films & TV programmes such as The King’s Speech, The Apprentice and The Great British Menu.

The venue is accessible via public transport links.

Diversity and Inclusion: "Understanding unconscious bias"

We're delighted to welcome Josh Willacy to our seminar programme. Employment Law: "Back to court"

With a distinct lack of employment legislation on the horizon, the gap in changes to employment law has been more than filled by the Courts. Matt Jenkin from Moorcrofts LLP will be looking at those cases that are likely to have a real impact for employers including when notice of termination is effective, the impact of voluntary overtime on holiday pay, shared parental pay and discrimination, sleep-in workers and the very latest in the gig economy worker status cases including the Supreme Courts final say on Pimlico Plumbers.
