Jelf Million Makers Challenge Part 2

Exploits so far

Boot Camp

Jye Allen, keen on his fitness arranged a fantastic bootcamp style event consisting of circuit training at a local gym. Employees of Jelf attended after work and pushed themselves to their limits, to raise money and work off those all too tempting office treats.

The event was said to have been a challenging evening where it was nice to see everyone come out of their comfort zone. It was also an opportunity for people from different teams to network, get fit and raise money for a good cause in the process.

On the back of the success and rave reviews of the event this looks to return as a set fixture at least for the remainder of the six month challenge.

Getting the word out

The team have spent time down in the Chipping Sodbury head office to talk to staff. They’ve started to spread the word of their taking part in the challenge and the great cause they are doing it for.

They are due to head down to Yate Shopping centre on 31 August in the hope of spreading the word about the princes trust in smaller areas where they may not have much contact with the challenge. Awareness will not only help raise funds for the charity but make other young people who may need the help of the charity aware that it is available in the first place. They intend to fundraise with buckets and promoting their just giving page.

Activities to come

The BIG Jelf quiz

This quiz is set to take part on 26 October. The lively event will involve a ten round quiz, food, and an unmissable raffle. The money raised will go towards the £10k total.

South East Stakes

A virtual horse racing night will get going on 9 November and ramp up the fundraising in the south east. It is expected to be an enjoyable night bringing local offices together and bringing out some healthy competition as the races get going. The races can be sponsored and horses, jockeys and owners can also be bought for those that really want to get into the swing of the night. Festive food will also feature and the money raised will be split with winners to support the team in their challenge.

You can donate on the team’s just giving page now until 31 December.
