Agenda
1. Legal implication of GDPR
Sarah Hopton, Corporate, Commercial & Intellectual Property Associate, DAC Beachcroft LLP
Sarah has worked in a range of industries on GDPR compliance programmes and privacy issues. She will explore the major changes that the new General Data Protection Regulation will bring. And some of the myths and common misunderstandings about privacy rules.
Sarah will also look at the key actions to take in order to process personal data under the new regime. And some practical examples of what can go wrong.
2. Cyber Security
Anthony Matthews, Managing Director, Charmwood Risk Management
From the increased use of mobile and the web, to collecting and storing client data, the reliance businesses have on technology has grown in recent years. As a result, the risks faced by businesses relying on technology and data has also increased.
Anthony will explore how you can manage and reduce business risk, reduce cost and add value. All whilst maintaining regulatory and statutory compliance.
3. Cyber Protection
Gemma Sword-Williams ACII, Account Executive, Jelf Insurance Brokers
Cybercrime is one of the fastest growing economic crimes in the UK. Organisations of all sizes are a target. But cybercrime isn't the only risk, with many breaches being caused by accidents or human error.
Whatever the cause, the consequences of cyber incidents can be extreme. Gemma will explore how cyber insurance can help you prepare for the unexpected. While protecting both your reputation and your balance sheet.
