Life at Marsh Commercial

I joined Marsh Commercial from a completely different industry. I was so excited to start something completely new, but also found this daunting! From day one I was put at ease straight away through the kindness, support and guidance by my regional team. They understood my knowledge was very limited, but wanted to ensure I was exposed to as much as possible! Nothing is ever too much trouble for anyone and I’ve learnt so much in such a short amount of time. I understand I’m still climbing the mountain, but I know I’ll never be stuck where to turn to.

My leadership team is very supportive around my goals of wanting to coach and mentor people and has allowed me access to getting some practise at that. I’m currently very involved with 'Next Gen' and have been able to carry out the interviews for this, providing feedback and will be heavily involved in the delivery also. Long story short, I set my stall out in terms of where I wanted to take my journey and have had full support to get me there. On a personal note, we’re a family. We’ve very supportive of one another - we laugh, cry, banter, the whole lot. I know that my leadership team and colleagues all have my back and I’m proud to be part of this. We’ve really got a fab team around us.

I joined the business in 2012 and have just completed 10 years with the company. I joined as an Account Handler and since then moved up the ladder, assuming different roles from Team Manager, Client Services Director to the current role of Service Quality Manager. There has always been encouragement and support of my line managers in my progress. In addition to my hunger for learning and progressing in my career.
