Marsh Commercial Hereford celebrates flying partnership with Zak O’Sullivan

At Marsh Commercial we celebrate the extraordinary. It’s who we are. It’s what we do. A people business, building warm, friendly and engaging relationships with our clients and the community.

That’s why we’re supporting Zak O’Sullivan – and have done for several years! Zak has an impressive resume when it comes to racing, starting his karting career at the age of eight, later becoming British GP Kartmasters Champion.

Ben Harrison, Senior Vice President – The Marches, commented: “We are happy to support Zak with his championship aspirations. He is a very talented driver with a fantastic support network around him and a great example of what you can do when you have passion and focus in such a competitive sport. Marsh are also passionate about what we do and felt that Zak was a good cultural fit – we look forward to watching his progress and supporting him with his journey.”

He won his first car race at just 14 years old and has since added many accolades to his name, including:

  • 2019 Ginetta Junior Rookie Champion, finishing 164 points ahead of his nearest rival
  • 2020 British F4 Vice-Champion, winning nine races and finishing on the podium 18 times
  • The youngest driver in history to be awarded the title of British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) Superstar. Past Superstars include F1 drivers George Russell, Lando Norris and Alex Albon
  • Current GB3 Championship F3 driver, three-time race winner and championship leader by almost 100 points

Now, under the wing of Trevor Carlin – the man responsible for sending Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel, Carlos Sainz, Kevin Magnussen and Daniil Kvyat into Formula 1 – Zak has his sights set on even more success. In fact, he’s already achieved a double at Donington this year, securing two pole positions and two race wins!

The roots of leadership

Zak’s achievements have even caught the eye of our own CEO, Anthony C. Gruppo, who has invited Zak to appear on his Roots of Leadership podcast. A unique platform for listeners to learn from leaders, innovators and motivators, it aims to help others weld their passion to their potential, to increase their performance. Previous guests have included former rugby league player, Jamie Peacock, so Zak is in good company. Watch out for more details on this soon!

Zak said: “Sponsorship is absolutely vital for any aspiring racing driver to progress through the ranks, so I’m very grateful for the support of Marsh Commercial as I compete in the GB3 Championship this season.

“It makes a huge difference to have such a supportive sponsor to help me progress, as motorsport is an incredibly tough profession to break into without financial backing.”
